We’re a unique healthcare practice that provides primary, internal medicine, and acute care and internal medicine to adult patients. Most anyone can select Scenic City Wellness as their healthcare provider, but we are especially interested in helping prevent chronic illness and develop wellness.

MEET OUR NURSE PRACTITIONER + OWNER

Michalle Morris, MSN, ANP-C

Michalle Morris, RN BSN MSN ANP-C is a native of Chattanooga who graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College with an AS degree in Nursing where she received the Mary Mahoney Nursing Award as Outstanding Student. After getting her “feet wet” as a nurse for several years, in the Intensive Care Unit, she decided to pursue additional education in the field of Nursing. Soon after her decision, she graduated from Southern Adventist University with a BS and MS degree in Nursing where she was in the top of her class.

As an accomplished professional with more than 12 years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and 25 years of Registered Nurse experience as an Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse, she has obtained a wealth of knowledge about health and healthcare.

She opened Scenic City Wellness, a Primary Care Medical Office, in August 2019 where she also practices. Prior to Scenic City Wellness she practiced with a large multi-specialty group in Chattanooga for 7 years. Clinically her interest includes but not limited to prevention, health maintenance, wellness, management of chronic diseases, and mental health. She focuses on treating the “whole” body which involves patient, family, mind, body, and spirit. As a loyal provider, she is driven to build strong relationships with her patients and their families while acting as a patient advocate to achieve the best possible outcomes for all involved.

MEET OUR NURSE PRACTITIONER

Rashunika Patillo, MSN, FNP-C

She worked as a registered nurse for 5 years before practicing as a nurse practitioner. She interned in the Chattanooga area, serving chronically ill, complex patients. During her internship years, she received several satisfactory reviews from several patients due to excellent care, communication, and passion. After graduating with her MSN (2020), she worked as a COVID-19 frontline provider and urgent care provider for 1 year before joining Michalle Morris as an internal medicine provider with Scenic City Wellness in June of 2021. Since joining Scenic City Wellness, Rashunika has been nominated for three black excellence awards and highlighted by Healthscope Magazine. She is a member of Chattanooga’s Black Nurses Association and is highly active in community health.

Rashunika’s passion is to provide preventative holistic health care and empower patients by equipping them with health information and evidence-based knowledge to make well-informed, educated choices related to their personal health and well-being. Rashunika believes that health education and knowledge are key to living a healthier lifestyle.
 
When not working, Rashunika enjoys spending time with her family, visiting home decor stores, exercising, shoe shopping, traveling, and watching sports. Rashunika’s favorite sports teams are the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, and Atlanta Braves.

Rashunika Patillo has lived in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area since 2007. She is originally from Decatur, Georgia where she was born and raised until the age of 15. She graduated with high honors from Ooltewah High School in 2010. She obtained her BSN (2015) and MSN (2020) from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Rashunika graduated at the top of her class, Summa Cumlaude, receiving many academic awards, including Nurse Practitioner Student of the Year in April of 2019 and awarded for her academic and clinical excellence.

    OFFICE RECEPTIONIST

    It is an honor to be a part of such a loving team. I look forward to greeting and talking with people each day. It does my heart good to put a smile on someone's face and encourage them to have a better day. I take my assignment to heart. The same smile that I give when I encounter them is the same smile I give when I speak with them on the phone. My husband and I have 5 girls and 4 grandchildren with whom I love spending time with. I love to sing, dance and create beautiful spaces for people. Overall I love to serve and l love being part of the team at Scenic City Wellness.

    Daphne Hunter

    REGISTERED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

    I'm Daphne Hunter a Registered Medical Assistant here at Scenic City Wellness, with my phlebotomy certification as well. With 14 years in the medical profession. My role is to support my provider by providing patient care and keeping the day-to-day activities of a medical office running smoothly. I have developed  a strong set of skills. When I’m not working, I spend all my free time with my family.

    Austin Geter

    MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

    My name is Austin Geter. I like to hangout with my 1 year old puppy, Dallas Hayes. My hobbies consist of drawing/painting, listening to music, and now my new favorite thing which is baking. The most exciting thing about this job is being able to work in an environment that  allows me to shadow and work hard towards being a Pediatric nurse.

    PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Alan is a dedicated healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience in financial services, operational leadership, and healthcare finance. As a key member of Scenic City Wellness since its inception, Alan has played an integral role in shaping the organization’s growth and impact. With five years of healthcare finance expertise and 15 years of team leadership, Alan excels in compliance, risk management, and strategic financial operations. His ability to develop tailored financial solutions and optimize organizational efficiency ensures the delivery of high-quality care to the community. Beyond his professional commitments, Alan enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his husband of 16 years.
